(DOTHAN, Ala.) On October 15, 2026, just before 2:00 am, the Dothan Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 2700 block of Ross Clark Circle. Initial reports were that a vehicle crashed, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Officers arrived on scene to find a male just off the roadway. The victim, identified as Charlie Lee Wright Jr. (36) of Dothan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dothan Police Department’s Crash Team was called to investigate. The preliminary investigation revealed Wright’s vehicle left the road briefly and lost control. Wright’s vehicle then overturned, which ejected Wright from the vehicle. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
