(DOTHAN, Ala.) On Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 4:20 a.m., officers with the Dothan Police Department, along with personnel from Dothan Fire and Rescue, responded to the 2800 block of Fortner Street following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, first responders located three adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. All three individuals received medical treatment for their injuries.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, Brandon Dashawn Grubbs, 25, of Headland, Alabama, has been arrested and charged with one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Unoccupied Vehicle, and one count of Assault First Degree.
Grubbs was booked into the Houston County Jail where he is being held without bond. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
