On May 17, 2026, Dothan Police responded to an armed robbery in progress in the 200 block of North Lena Street. The victim told police he was in the 200 block of North Lena Street when he was approached by a male in dark clothing. The suspect demanded the victim’s bicycle and made a motion in his jacket pocket as if he was armed with a weapon.
As police responded quickly to the area, an alert officer noticed a subject matching the description given by the victim. The suspect, a juvenile under the age of 18, was in possession of the bicycle. The suspect was confirmed to be the person responsible for taking the bicycle. The juvenile was charged, as an adult, with Robbery 1st degree. While searching, officer found marijuana in the juvenile’s possession, and he was also charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree. Due to the suspect’s age and Alabama privacy laws, we are unable to identify the juvenile.
