Suspect Killed During Church Robbery

On July 16th, 2017 at 2234 hours, Patrol Officers responded to 2574 Westgate Parkway, Crossroads Baptist Church on a Burglary/Robbery call. Officers arrived to find 26 year old black male Steffon Parreese Valentez Tolver deceased in the parking lot. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Tolver entered  the back door of the church.  Once inside, Tolver robbed the parishioner of approximately $50.00 then attempted to rob a church staff member. The staff member, fired his personal handgun once, striking Tolver in the upper torso. Tolver fled out the back door and into the parking lot where he succumbed to his injury.

 

Narcotics Arrest

Investigators have arrested and charged 45 year old Michelle Smith Saliba, of West Selma Street, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance following a traffic stop by Patrol Units.

Bond has been set at $1,500. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrest Burglary 3rd

On 7/13/2017, Travis Allen Porter was arrested for Burglary 3rd degree. His bond was set at $15,000.00

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrest for Possession of a Forged Instrument

On July 13th 2017, after an extensive investigation and a search warrant related to counterfeit bills used in local establishments, Chad Elliot Watson was arrested on 4 counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree. Bond was set at $80,000.00  Investigation continues

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Certain Persons Forbidden Carrying a Firearm on School Grounds

On July 12th 2017, Nathan Thomas Moseley was arrested for Certain Persons Forbidden Carrying a Firearm on School Grounds charges stemming from an event which occurred at Dothan High School. His bond was set at $15,000.00.

 

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Narcotics Arrest

On 07/11/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 37 year old Shedrick Lamar Mosley, of Greentree Avenue, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond has been set at $1,500.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Narcotics Arrest

On 07/11/2017 Patrol Units were investigating a possible theft at a local business. While investigating the theft illegal narcotics was found on a person.

Investigators have arrested and charged 27 year old Brittany Rose James, of County Road 8 Headland, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. More charges are possible. Bond has been set at $1,000.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Dothan Police Department is seeking the help of our local and surrounding communities in identifying the persons shown in the pictures below. They are wanted for questioning in regards to a theft case.
