Attempted Assault 1st, Receiving Stolen Property 3rd and Controlled Substance Arrests

On 8/3/2017, Patrol Officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 2900 block of the Circle. Lawrence fled the scene in a stolen car, striking two cars, one being a patrol car, and narrowly missing an Officer attempting to confront him. The vehicle was recovered abandoned but a Crime Scene Technician was able to connect Lawrence to the vehicle through a fingerprint.

Arrest: Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st (US Currency)

Robert Eugene Stults – Possession of Forged Instrument I

On 8/3/2017, after an investigation into a counterfeit $100.00 bill, Robert Eugene Stults (46) was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree. His bond was placed at $30.000.00.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Narcotics Arrest

On 08/04/2017 a Patrol Sergeant attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on N. Herring Street. The vehicle failed to stop for a short time. When it slowed, the front seat passenger fled on foot. The Officer immediately gave chase. As the Officer was closing in on the suspect he turned and began to fight the Officer. After a brief struggle the suspect was taken into custody. Illegal narcotics were found on the suspect.

Vice Investigators have arrested and charged 38 year old Daniel Dewayne Earl Critten, of E. Washington Street, with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Harassment of a Public Official. Bonds total $3,600.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrest- 6 Counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

On July 30th 2017, Henderson Todd Miller Jr. was arrested on six counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. The offenses occurred in the 100 block of Castle Drive on July 30th and the investigation is ongoing.
