Theft Arrest

On 06/18/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 35 year old Jerry Keith Tiner, of Columbia Road Blakely Georgia, with two counts of Theft of Property 2nd degree. This stems from thefts that occurred from businesses located in the 5100 block and 3900 block of Montgomery Highway. Tiner was taken into custody after being stopped by Patrol Officers.

Bond has been set at $20,000. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Attempted Arson Arrest

On 06/17/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 20 year old Destiny Sharde Mitchell, of Michigan Drive, with Attempted Arson 1st and Attempted Assault 1st. Following an altercation on Kohler Court Mitchell attempted to set an apartment on fire. Several apartments in the vicinity were occupied. One of the occupants involved in the altercation came out of the apartment and Mitchell attempted to strike her with a vehicle.

Mitchell was taken into custody on the scene. Bond has been set at $45,000. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Edged Weapon Assault

Last night at approximately 8:25 p.m. Patrol Officers were dispatched to an edged weapon assault in the 100 block of Newberry Lane. Two subjects were transported to a local hospital one suffering from multiple stab wounds and the other suffering from a head injury. Both subjects were treated for serious injuries.

Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene. It has been determined that no other individuals are involved in this assault. The investigation is ongoing and Investigators are working on determining what occurred.

More information will be released when available.

Theft Arrest

On 06/15/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 42 year old Marcus Charles Strickland, of Robin Parker Road Ozark, with Theft of Property 3rd degree. This is in connection with a theft from a business in the 4800 block of Montgomery Highway. Bond has been set at $1,000.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Robbery Update

Two arrests have been made in connection with the armed robbery and firearm assault that occurred at Larry’s Restaurant.

Investigators have arrested and charged 23 year old Joeron Earl Griffin, of Walnut Street, with Robbery 1st degree and Assault 1st degree. Bond has been set at $90,000.

Investigators have arrested and charged 26 year old Wyzell Bernard Franklin, of N. Herring Street, with Robbery 1st degree and Assault 1st degree. Bond has been set at $90,000.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional information will be released tomorrow. More arrests are expected.

Theft Arrest

On 06/14/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 30 year old Calvin Ray Pitts, of D. Hodge Road Cottonwood, with Theft of Property 1st degree. This was in connection with a stolen car from the 3300 block of S. Oates Street that occurred on 06/10. Bond has been at $30,000.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sodomy Arrest

On 06/14/2017 Investigators arrested and charged 22 year old Quentin Octavius Johnson, of Roberts Street, with Sodomy 2nd degree. Due to the sensitive nature of this case no other details can be released. Bond has been set at $30,000.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Assault Arrests

On 06/09/2017 Patrol Officers responded to the 200 block of Grandvilla Drive in reference to a loud noise complaint. They made contact with two individuals. Once determining that one of the individuals had given a false name the Officers attempted to arrest the individual. Both individuals began actively resisting and assaulted the Officers that were on the scene. After a brief struggle both individuals were taken into custody.

Investigators have arrested and charged 47 year old Stevie Springfield, of Third Avenue, with 2 counts of Assault 2nd and Using a False Identity to Obstruct Justice.

Investigators have arrested and charged 19 year old Haley Anderson, of Bracewell Avenue, with one count of Assault 2nd.

Bond will be set at a later time. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
