How to Use a Roundabout

As you approach a roundabout there will be a yield sign. Slow down, watch for pedestrians and cyclists and be prepared to stop if necessary.

When you enter, yield to the circulating traffic on the left stopping only if it is not clear to proceed.

The roundabout is one way to the right. There may be signs mounted indicating the direction.

Upon passing the street prior to the road you wish to enter, use your turn signal to indicate that you are leaving the roundabout. Watch for pedestrians and cyclists as you exit.

Left turns are completed by traveling 3/4 of the way around the center of the island. U-turns are allowed and completed by traveling all the way back to the street from which you entered.
