The Dothan Police Department is pleased to unveil our newest addition to the police vehicle fleet. The color scheme chosen is in honor of all persons affected by breast cancer. As part of the “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign, the police department joins the American Cancer Society in raising awareness of this disease.
The Dothan Police Foundation, Shift Designs and Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions teamed up to re-color the car, which will be making appearances through the next month. Community members are invited to take photos of the car and share them on social media with the hastag #DPDpink.
The vehicle will be on display at the front of the Kater Williams Justice Building. While on display there, anyone who is a survivor or knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer is invited to come by the front desk of the police department and pick up a Sharpie to write their name on the trunk of the car as a way to remember them.
