Three Arrested for Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling

 

On December 21st, 2017 patrol officers responded to a report of gun shots fired in the 100 block of Kohler Court. While on Scene it was determined that three different apartments in the complex were struck by bullets. Two of the three apartments were occupied at the time of the shooting.

While on scene patrol officers obtained information on a possible suspect that ran into a nearby apartment, and a vehicle description that was observed leaving the scene. Officers spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Montgomery Hwy. and Reeves Street. The officer followed the vehicle and witnessed the occupants throw a firearm from the vehicle. The Officer then performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of Virginia Drive. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as 22 year old Ryan Murry of AB Cotton Rd. Headland, Alabama and 23 year old Anthony Harper of South Lena St. in Dothan.

The suspect from the apartment on Kohler Ct., 20 year old David Markel Key,  surrendered himself to the police after the SWAT Team was called to the scene.

Ryan Murry was charged with two counts of Shooting in an Occupied Dwelling and one count of Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling. He has bonds totaling $40,000.00.

Anthony Harper was charged with two counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling and one count of Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling. He has bonds totaling $40,000.00.

David Markel Key was charged with one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle. No bond has been set for Key.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
